Modernizing BSTI’s Textile Testing for Global Export Standards

A high-level stakeholder engagement workshop, organized by TRACE Consulting, took place at the Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI) to unveil a strategic assessment on strengthening textile and apparel testing capabilities. The critical dialogue brought together the BSTI Director General and key stakeholders from BGMEA, BKMEA, prominent buying houses, and international brands.
Together, participants mapped out current barriers to test report acceptance and identified actionable paths toward better service efficiency, reliability, and global compliance. This targeted initiative is instrumental in shortening testing lead times, reinforcing international buyer trust, and future-proofing Bangladesh’s export-oriented RMG sector.
