Shaila Rahman Ema

Shaila Rahman Ema is a communication and program professional with over 8 years of experience in strategic communication, media engagement, stakeholder coordination, and development-sector visibility initiatives. She currently serves as communication officer at TRACE Consulting, where she leads strategic follow-up of government-facing proposals, supports high-level engagement with ministries and agencies, and contributes to strengthening TRACE’s institutional positioning and partnerships. 
 

Before joining TRACE, she served as a program officer at ARTICLE 19 South Asia, leading communication campaigns, advocacy materials, stakeholder events, and donor-focused reporting. She also brings strong broadcast journalism experience, having worked with Somoy TV, Channel 24, and DBC News. She is currently involved with STAR News as a part-time news presenter. 
 

Ema holds an MSc in limnology and fisheries sciences from Jahangirnagar University and is currently pursuing a master's in governance and development studies.
